An individual interested in the online business must prepare him or herself psychologically first before embarking into the online project. You cannot afford to begin the internet business with adequate preparation. One must clearly outline his or her goals for the business, and what they hope to achieve in the near and long term future. However, the individual has to set realistic goals, because having expectations that are too high may demoralize the entrepreneur when at he does not accomplish them, causing the internet business to stutter or even crumble. Further, an internet business requires discipline, motivation, and a strong mentality. The entrepreneur must always be time conscious and deliver results within the promised timeline. This creates faith in the clientele. Then again, a hundred percent online business are self supervised, so the businessman has to have ingrained discipline to honour contracts and tasks.
Before a person ventures into online business, he or she must have the following:

Furniture
Online business entails a lot of sitting. The user must invest in a comfortable chair that will enable him or her to work for lengthy hours without tiring. Then they require a sizeable office desk that can accommodate a PC, computer accessories, document holders and drawers/cabinets. The desk must allow for easy re positioning depending on the user preference. As far as furniture is concerned, the user comfort is of primary focus. Working for long hours in discomfort leads to discomfort and possible bodily strains e.g. backaches, sore arms, stiff neck, etc. These will have a negative impact on the users’ performance, which eventually affect online earnings of the entrepreneur.
Computer
The user must purchase a fast computer, with the latest capabilities so as to take advantage of emerging technologies. Trends such as video conferencing need a very strong computer infrastructure, and use of inferior computers may slow down or break communication, and this may cause end users to lose faith in the implementer. A laptop is more preferred, as the user may need to do work while on the move or away from his station. Portability is a core factor.
Printer/Copier/Scanner
Choice of printer depends on the users’ needs. However, it is recommended to get a colour printer because excellent presentation of output portrays seriousness in the internet businessman. The scanner on the other hand enables the user to scan physical documents and save them in soft copy. These can be sent electronically by mail to the end user or uploading to a destination website.
Telephone
The Internet Businessman should have a full-time telephone contact so that he or she can be reached at any given time.
Internet Connection
The user should have a fast connection to the internet to facilitate ease in communication.
